Mir Nasir Hossain

The iconic business person of Bangladesh, Mr. Hossain is also the Managing Director Mir Ceramic Limited, Mir Akhter Hossain Limited and Mir Holdings Limited. Mr. Nasir Hossain, a former President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), the apex trade organization of Bangladesh, is also Director of Eastern Bank Limited, the successor of now-defunct BCCI branch in Bangladesh and Agrani Insurance Company Limited.
A two times alumni of University of Dhaka with an Masters in Management, Mr. Hossain is also the former Senior Vice President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is actively engaged in various social works, most notable of which is his Life Membership of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and he generously contributes to many other hospitals and orphanages.
Zahir Ahmed
Chief Executive Officer

An alumnus of the country’s leading business school, Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, Mr. Ahmed who holds an MBA had an illustrious career in Banking with International Banking while working with BCCI Bank for over 14 years holding important positions as Manager in Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and other positions in Bangladesh.
Later Mr. Ahmed joined local conglomerate- United Group of Companies and was the pioneer in banking automation in Bangladesh through establishing the first shared ATM network called E-Cash. Mr. Ahmed was also representative of British Telecom in Bangladesh for long 15 years and has hands on experience in Wholesale Voice and Data business in the telecom sector. He is a major speaker in wholesale voice conferences as well and has travelled extensively around the world.
Mohammad Rezaul Haque
Chief Operating Officer

A graduate Engineer from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, Dhaka and a Fellow of Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB), Mr. Mohammad Rezaul Haque joined Mir Telecom Ltd in the early 2008 immediately after the company was awarded the IGW license and played a pivotal role in procurement & installation of IGW switching, billing & other equipment and providing national & international connectivity.
Since then he has been responsible for overall operation of the system, including co-ordination with the Regulator and maintaining inter-operator relations. Before joining Mir Telecom Ltd, Mr. Haque completed his professional service career in Govt. in 2001, after serving the-then Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (now Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited) for 34 years and thereafter was on a 3-years’ term from 2002-2005 in the newly established regulatory authority Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) as a Commissioner.
Mushfique Manzoor
Chief Marketing Officer

Twice-alumni of the top business school of the country, Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, Mr. Manzoor has quite an illustrious career spanning over a decade in different industries. Prior to joining Mir Telecom, he was Head of Marketing, Merchandising & Buying, ACI Logistics Limited where he successfully launched, under the brand name 'Shwapno', and ran the largest Neighborhood Food & Grocery Retail Chain with 59 outlets since Jan’08. Preceding that, as Head of International and New Business, AKTEL he established the International Carrier Wholesale business and pioneered Corporate Call Center Connectivity Solution along with expanding International Roaming coverage to make AKTEL the widest roaming network operator of Bangladesh. Mr. Manzoor also served as Country Project Manager in two countries –Vietnam and Nepal for ARAMEX International’s franchisee operation. He had also worked as Brand Manager, Ovaltine, at the Bangladesh subsidiary of Novartis AG and had started off his career in Trade Marketing and Distribution of British American Tobacco Bangladesh.
Md. Sarowar Alam Sikder

An Electrical and Electronics Engineer and member of Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) Mr. Sikder joined Mir group in 1996 and served in different official capacity spanning planning, development and Implementation of telecommunication, engineering and ICT related project including financial management for about 15 years. He played a vital role in preparing IGW business plan and acquisition of IGW license. Upon obtaining IGW license he lead a team in procurement & installation of IGW switching, billing & other equipment and software. He was also instrumental in preparing service level agreement, and Maintenance Services agreement for IGW operation.
ATM Kamruzzaman
Chief Technical Officer

An Electrical and Electronics Engineer from country’s premier engineering university, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Kamruzzaman is one of the founding members of Mir Telecom Limited to launch Mir as the 1st private IGW and he also has the unique experience of setting up GSM operation of the state-owned Teletalk Bangladesh Limited as a founding engineer. He is an expert on GSM & Gateway network, having long experience on NSN, NEC, Ericsson, Italtel, Alcatel and softswitches like Huawei & Dialogic. He has availed numerous trainings on GSM, GPRS/EDGE, NGN, Voice Transit Gateway, Data Services and equipments at home and abroad. He worked in BTCL from1999 to 2008 and contributed in Planning wing of BTTB, Project for state owned mobile phone and was also in charge of Operation & Maintenance for digital switches throughout the country. He worked in PLC system and 11MW Power Plant projects for REB on behalf of AML at the beginning of his career in 1996.
